The Duck Cove Inn & Restaurant is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Cabot Trail, with a panoramic view of the Margaree river and valley and the Gulf of St. Lawrence, located at the junction of the Cabot Trail and the Ceilidh Trail at Margaree Harbour, on the Sunset side of Cape Breton Island. The Duck Cove Inn, a 24-unit motel and restaurant complex, is synonymous with offering fine food and lodging to travellers for over thirty years.

From its beginning in the early 1930’s as a coach stop, known as the Margaree Café, to the development of a 10-bedroom Inn in the 1950’s, to today’s modern 24-unit Motel and licensed A/C Dinning Room. The Laurence family are well known for their hospitality and fine food.

The Duck Cove Inn is ideally located at the intersection of the Cabot and the Ceilidh Coastal Trail at Margaree Harbour, on the sunset side of Cape Breton Island, seventy-five miles north of the Canso Causeway.
It commands a superb view of the Margaree River Valley and the world famous Margaree River, a Canadian Heritage River, as it spills into the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
